The Source at Pinelake (Pinelake Baptist Church) Organized and coordinated the opening of a new church bookstore. Handled all aspects, including selecting and setting up a computer system, ordering all merchandise, hiring and training staff, and setting up the store.
October 2000 - November 2003
LifeWay Christian Store, Jackson, MS Began as a part time frontliner working with customers on the sales floor, then became the full time manager of the book department.
November 1997 - September 1999
For Heaven's Sake Bookstore, Conroe, TX Manager, responsible for staff, sales, and inventory management. During 1998, the store experienced a 34% net sales increase with an inventory turn of 4.1. As of July 1999, the YTD net increase was 27%. Attended the CBA Friedman Management Training Camp. Created and implemented a three month training program for new staff, as well as a program for continuous inventory reconciliation.
August 1990 - May 1997
Maranatha Christian Bookstore, Jackson, MS Assistant manager and CBA certified sales associate, responsibilities included the children's department, processing and stocking merchandise, customer service, and organizing bookfairs for Christian schools. Organized a Christian writer's seminar and did a variety of speaking engagements relating to children's books in the Christian market.
